As we start heading into the festive season, you might be wondering what exactly there is to do while Covid restrictions remain in place – well, here are a few suggestions for you!

1st November
As you might expect, the majority of firework displays have been put on hold for this year due to social distancing, but there are some innovative ways to enjoy this tradition taking place including a Drive-in Firework Spectacular which is happening in Cornwall. There is also one taking place in Exeter in Devon on the 7th, click here  to find out more.

There are also fireworks taking place at Newcastle Racecourse.

Another option is catching a spooky film, like Ghostbusters which is being shown at a drive-in at Bristol Filton airfield.

7th November
Longleat are bringing their Land of the Light back for 2021.

8th November
This year, Remembrance Sunday falls on 8th November, there are a number of services and events taking place across the county, with Exeter’s heading online

13th November
Much like at Longleat, Chester Zoo  are also putting their lanterns up for the festive season.

19th November
Get your Christmas shopping done early by visiting the winter pop up shop at The Galleries in Bristol. Find out more here.

20th November
Another light extravaganza is taking place at Heaton Park in Manchester, Lightopia is a safe and socially distanced event.

21st November
While many of their Christmas events aren’t taking place this year, Paultons Park where you can find magical illuminations, Peppa and George in seasonal outfits and a show featuring Father Christmas himself.

27th November
Christmas at Stourhead in Wiltshire is bringing you a magical mile long after dark light display.

Enjoy a family favourite Christmas film At the Drive-in at Emirates Trafford Stadium in Manchester, they’re hosting Home Alone – a must at this time of year!

28th November
Take part in an Illuminated Christmas Trail at Westonbirt Arboretum from now until the end of December.

If you are starting to get into the Christmas spirit, make sure to book in to meet Santa at Farmer Palmer’s Farm Park starting from today until 20th December.

Nothing is going to stop Father Christmas greeting children this year, pop in to see him, eat a mince pie and enjoy a train journey with the Santa Specials from Sheffield Park Station – all done in a socially distanced manner of course!
