There is something quintessentially British about the idea of celebrating the humble cup of tea and this year, for the fifth anniversary of National Tea Day, the whole thing is going online, so we can all join in without breaching the rules of the lockdown!

National Tea Day is the UK’s fastest growing communi-tea, helping people to discover and explore the wonderful world of tea and infusions. Held on 21st April every year, National Tea Day is the official day in the UK to celebrate our love of tea. But we’re not just a moment in time. National Tea Day is a year-round movement inspiring more tea moments for the next generation of tea lovers!

Basically, this is the UK's biggest national celebration of tea and it takes place every year! While we might not be able to visit our favourite spots for a proper cuppa, Afternoon Tea with all the trimmings or a Cream Tea, it doesn’t mean we can’t join in as this year for the fifth anniversary of National Tea Day, the organisers are hosting a Virtual Tea Party on their various social media platforms that everyone can get involved with!

The National Virtual Tea Party will run all day on 21st from 7am until 7pm hosted on a variety of social media networks, so whatever your favourite platform is, you can join in. This year there will be a selection of workshops, activities, competitions and more all in the name of celebrating tea.

If you want to get involved, head to nationalteaday.co.uk on 21st April.
