Michael and Emily Eavis, Glastonbury’s organisers, have continued to do good in the face of not hosting a festival this year by donating all the medical supplies that had been collected for the festival to the emergency services amid the current pandemic.

The items donated included hand sanitiser, face masks and gloves and went to frontline emergency services including Avon and Somerset Police who look after the Glastonbury area and NHS staff.

Avon and Somerset Police took to Twitter to thank the festival organisers, saying: “On behalf of the A&S Local Reilience Forum, we’d like to extend a huge thank you to Michael and Emily Eavis for providing frontline emergency service workers and NHS staff with thousands of litres of hand sanitiser, gloves and face masks which were due to be used at Glastonbury 2020.”

Tickets for this year’s festival will be carried over to 2021.
