Taylor Swift, who is frankly having a great 30th birthday, revealed the news that she will be headlining the festival’s closing slot on the iconic Pyramid Stage on the Sunday night. She joins Sir Paul McCartney who was named as the main stage’s Saturday night headliner back in November. Motown legend, Diana Ross, has also been confirmed for the Legends Slot on the Sunday. Friday’s headliner has yet to be announced, but if rumours are anything to go by, it looks like it might be a fellow American, Kendrick Lamar, who featured on Taylor’s song, Bad Blood.

Festival organisers, Michael Eavis, said in a video about the big reveal: “She’s [Taylor Swift] one of the biggest stars in the world and her songs are absolutely amazing, we’re so delighted!”

His daughter, Emily Eavis, said: “Taylor is one of the biggest and best artists on the planet, and we’re just so pleased that she’s coming here to Worthy Farm to join us for our 50th birthday celebrations.”

The fiftieth anniversary of Glastonbury Festival will be Taylor’s first appearance at Worthy Farm. There is still chance to get your hands on tickets, the resale is taking place in April. Don’t worry if you miss out again though, you can still catch Taylor Swift on the festival circuit, she’s been confirmed as the headliner of the BST Hyde Park Festival in London in July.
