This Father’s Day why not celebrate by heading to one of the many events going on all over the country? You’ll find everything, from spa days (yes, dad’s like good skin too!) to special lunch time menus to workshops where you and your dad can learn something together to just good old fashioned day out together.

So, if you’re planning to do something fun this Father’s Day, take a look at some of these events!

If your dad is a bit of a petrol head, head to Salcombe in Devon where Gara Rock is hosting a Vintage Car Rally for Father’s Day. In Lichfield in Staffordshire, Midland Karting is offering a Father’s Day Special where dads go half price with each full paying person on the big day. In London there is the Father’s Day ThamesJet Max event where dads can take part in a 75 minute thrill ride around the Thames!

If transport is their thing but they’re not quite that into cars or high speed chases, why not do something a bit different by joining in the Father’s Day Piggyback Challenge?

At Trentham Monkey Forest in Staffordshire, dads can take part in the Piggyback Challenge to win return tickets, all you have to do is carry their little ones on their back, much like monkeys do, and complete the forest’s assault course. What could be easier!? For the dads that like music, it’s easy to grab them tickets to their favourite artist’s latest show. You can also join in on Jazz for Dads in Kent. You don’t need to book for this event and dads get free tea in the café, all you need to do is bring yourselves, a picnic and a chair and enjoy the music!
Why not enjoy the best of both worlds by taking part in Father’s Day sailing with the Shieldhall Stompers Jazz band? This event taking place in Southampton is a great gift idea, comprising of a cruise on Steamship Shieldhall while being serenaded by the Shieldhall Stompers Jazz band. As part of the cruise, you will get to explore the ship taking in the engine room, talk to the captain and the crew and pass close to the great ocean liners depart from Southampton.

Foody dads are also well catered for. In Bristol, The Old Malthouse is hosting a Father’s Day Chocolate Workshop at the Chocolate Tart where you can take part in a chocolate making class together and even sample your creations! For the more refined gentleman, head to Hampshire for Gentleman’s Afternoon Tea at the Careys Manor Hotel and Senspa. This is an afternoon tea with a difference, rather than having dainty cucumber sandwiches, you’ll find pork pies, sausages role plus a pint of Flacks Manor ale!
Staying with Hampshire, Ringwood Brewery is also offering a Father’s Day special with their Beer Day Britain and Father’s Day Extravaganza. Running on the 14th and 16th June, this free festival includes a free pint for dads and hosts 20 different beers along with a range of locally produced ciders, craft lager and a gin and rum bar.

You’ll find plenty of attractions offering dads free tickets during Father’s Day, one such place is at Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park.  All you need to do is buy your tickets online and dad’s will get in free when accompanied by a paying child, toddler, adult or senior.

And for something a little different, how about trying your hand at Welly Wanging?

World of Country Life in Devon are hosting their annual Father’s Day Welly Wanging competition, hit the targets and score big to get a big bubbly prize! This is alongside all the usual fun and activities that can be found at World of Country Life, so if you’re looking for a good day out, definitely check this out!
