The Grand National, arguably the world’s most famous horse race, is back at Aintree at the beginning of April. If you’re in the Liverpool area and fancy checking it out in person rather than on the TV, there are some things you need to know…

What each day entails:
Grand National Thursday, 4th April.
This day is a celebration of the North West’s sporting champions past and present with live music and entertainment.

Ladies’ Day, 5th April.
Ladies’ Day is the day of hats, style and fashion.

Grand National Day, 6th April.
This is the reason why people flock to the race course! The big race kicks off on the 6th.
