Block Printing with Merlyn Chesterman
JULY 1 Day 1. Learning the basics of the ancient art form of woodblock printmaking. You will come away knowing how to create a successful woodcut in black and white, from the concept to the drawing, cutting, proofing and printing by hand with a baren.
The following day JULY 2 for those who attended day 1 or with some previous knowledge of relief printmaking, spend a day finding out about registration and multi-block woodblock printing. Cut a master block and then a supporting underblock and begin to understand the enormous potential of the medium.
All materials for this workshop will be provided and are included in the price.
There is a cafe on site and accessible toilets.
Registering for this workshop gives you free access to Arlington Court for the day.
