About

Willow Tit walk on Sunday 17th March 9.30 - 11.30 a.m at Shire Brook Valley Nature Reserve.

Join expert Jim Clarke for a walk around this beautiful reserve, a local stronghold for the endangered willow tit (Britain's fastest declining resident bird species). Other species will also be identified by sight and sound.

Free to attend. Large free car park.Toilets available. Please wear stout footwear, warm, dry clothing and bring binoculars if you have them.

Shire Brook Valley is a beautiful nature reserve in south east Sheffield, just off the A57 Mosborough bypass at Coisley Hill roundabout. Extensive area of parkland, woods, ponds, wildflower meadows etc. The variety of habitats supports a wealth of wildlife. Miles of well-maintained paths for walking, running,cycling and horse-riding including the Transpennine Trail which runs through the reserve. Dogs welcome. Reserve open 24/7/365. Visitor Centre open Wednesday mornings 10 - 12.30 throughout summer and autumn and selected Sundays throughout the year + by prearrangement for group visits, schools etc. Large free car park always open on Stone Lane S13 7BR + many other access points from all sides at Hackenthorpe, Frecheville, Beighton and Woodhouse.
