Described by the Derbyshire Times as 'Derbyshire's best kept secret', Whitwell Festival of Music is a community event in a village setting, now in its 11th year, getting bigger and better every time. Run by a small team of volunteers - Whitwell 4Ward - the festival has raised thousands of pounds for local causes. Featuring a wealth of musical and artistic talent across all genres - around 30 bands and artists over the weekend - the festival also offers a range of locally brewed real ales, ciders, value-for-money food, arts and music workshops and children's activities.
