Weekly parkrun at the Eden Project

About

What is parkrun?

Established in 2004, parkruns take place in outdoor locations around the UK and in 14 other countries. They are always free and are open to runners, joggers and walkers of all abilities, from beginners to Olympians.

Who is it for?

parkruns are inclusive events, open to all. People may choose to run, jog, walk, or take a wheelchair around the course. parkrun is not a race; it is simply timed so that participants can see their own progress.

Although we are not offering a dedicated junior parkrun at the Eden Project, children over four are welcome to take part (those aged 4-10 must stay with an adult throughout the course).

Unfortunately we're unable to admit dogs on the course, but spectators are welcome to bring dogs.

What’s the Eden Project course like?

The Eden Project parkrun takes place entirely on tarmac, providing a good running and walking surface all year round. The course begins in the coach park at the top of the site before entering the main garden and taking a scenic route around the paths in front of the world-famous Biomes. There are a few hills for a bit of a challenge and great views across the site.

After crossing the finish line, parkrunners, volunteers and supporters can gather in the Eden cafe for refreshments and breakfast.

How to join in

The event is free, but participants should register through the parkrun website and print off a barcode in order to receive their personal time by text, email and through the parkrun website. Friends and family of runners get free entry to Eden for the morning.

We recommend that you follow Eden Project parkrun on Facebook and Twitter, where the latest news and announcements are shared (including any unavoidable cancellations due to extreme weather).
