Victorian Month at Tyntesfield

About

From Victorian fairground entertainment and illusions to a living history experience, the Victorian era is coming to life at Tyntesfield this May. Included with admission, National Trust members free.

11-12 May - Victorian Fairground Entertainment and Illusions

Have you ever imagined what the great Victorian frost fairs were like? We don't have a frozen river, but we do have Discover History bringing their Victorian fairground entertainment and illusions to trick the eye and ensnare the senses. Included with admission, National Trust members free.

18-19 May - Victorian Falconry

Raphael Historic Falconry, the longest established professional historic falconers in the UK, bring their Victorian falconry show to Tyntesfield. Learn how the Victorian fascination for reviving Gothic arts breathed new life into an old country pursuit. Included with admission, National Trust members free.

25 May - 2 June - The William Gibbs birthday trail
William Gibbs, who founded Tyntesfield as we know it today, was born on 22 May 1790. Discover more about some of his favourite things across the estate this May half term, on The William Gibbs birthday trail. £3 per trail.
