About

A beekeeping course aimed at novices and those who wish to know more about beekeeping before taking the plunge!

You'll learn everything you need to know about the lifecycle of the honeybee and colony, different types of hives and the commitment required.

The course will also cover the problems facing bees and their needs; information on acquiring bees and keeping them; how to go about siting hives; and handling honeybees.

This course includes classroom and hands-on working with our on-site bees. All protective equipment will be provided on the day. Please wear closed toe shoes or boots.

The course will run on Saturday and Sunday, from 10am to 4pm in the Green Room.

The cost is £150 per person, including lunch in the Riverside Cafe on both days.
