Celebrating man and woman's best friend
This exhibition, conceived by the Duchess of Devonshire, will explore the Cavendish family’s enduring love for dogs, through paintings, drawings, sculpture, letters, photographs and contemporary art. We will delve deep into the Devonshire Collection to share stories and capture the idiosyncratic, faithful, endearing and playful character of man’s best friend.
Ranging from historic to present day and alongside the existing collection will be specially selected loans from public and private collections featuring everything from working dogs to woven dogs, dogs on canvas to dogs on camera and from puppets to popular culture.
Your invited to celebrate ‘all things dog’ and join in #Chatswoof.
