Walking on the Towpath

About

Part of the Chesterfield Canal Walking Festival

Before setting off, we’ll take a look at an exhibition of plans for the restoration of the Canal in the area. The walk will include unrestored lengths of the towpath, potential new routes around obstructions and a section of the Rive Rother where the Trust has aspirations for a brand new canal to the centre of Rotherham. We’ll visit Rother Valley Country Park, the hidden gem of Norwood Locks and take a look at the historic Norwood Tunnel.
