Bradley and Archie

About

A singularly amazing acoustic concert, delivered with all the musicianship and musical mastery that these two incredible performers can bring together. Bradley Creswick and Archie Brown are a rare musical friendship with a shared lifelong love of music in all its forms.

Bradley, who began a long-term relationship with the Royal Northern Sinfonia in 1984, was recently made Leader Emeritus. His amazingly rich and varied career includes personal highlights such as the EMI recording of Vaughan Williams' 'The Lark Ascending' and Concerto Accademico with Richard Hickox. Archie Brown came to fame in the late 1970's as the lead singer with North East Band, The Young Bucks whose credits include playing the main stage at Rhythm Festival (2009 and 2011), performing alongside The Proclaimers, The Beat, and Imelda May. Archie Brown has written music for TV, most notably the award-winning series 'Something Special' and 'Barnaby Bear'. In November 2013, Archie released an acoustic album, 'A Weakness of Mine', featuring Pat Rafferty, Ian Thompson & Bradley Cheswick. 'Elysian Fields' released in October 2015, also featured Bradley Cheswick in the line-up. Tonight's concert is the product of a continuing friendship, where the music is a shared joy, it's eclectic and not to be missed.
