SummerTyne Americana Festival at Sage Gateshead is an annual must-do live music festival on the banks of the River Tyne which usually takes place in mid-July. SummerTyne is a celebration of all things Americana including the finest American roots music. the 2019 music event in Gateshead is an immensely popular weekend event that attracts visitors from across the world for a sizzling celebration of Americana music in and around the spectacular setting of Sage Gateshead, on the south bank of the river Tyne. 

And 2019 will not disappoint as the line-up for the music festival really is stellar! This year - we're very excited to hear Hollywood movie-star and musican Kiefer Sutherland (Sunday 21 July) will take to the stage to perform hits from his debut album and his new, follow-up album Reckless & Me. Friday night at SummerTyne Festival will be headlined by k.d. Lang who returns to perform as part of her 25th anniversary tour. (Limited availability for KD Lang tickets).

Except country music vibes, Americana and a lot of fun over 3-days of live music and performances at Sage Gateshead. 

Taking to the stage at Sage Gateshead between Friday 19 July and Sunday 21 July will be a host of Americana legends as well as a plethora of newer breakthrough acts. This year, fans of the genre and those who would just like to try something new, will be able to enjoy live music for free each night at three FREE and un-ticketed events on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday Free Stages.
