Studfold Fairy and Pixie Adventure

About

Explore the magic and wonder of the Studfold Fairy & Pixie Adventure Trail, where imaginations can run truly wild.

Studfold Adventure Trail is a unique fairy experience at all times of the year, however from May to August over 20 magical fairy houses appear across the trail, each with their own story or poem.  Children are invited to either dress up in their own fairy wings and pixie hats or borrow some from us  to explore the magical wonder of the Nidderdale countryside.

The Fairy and Pixie Trail is reopening from 2 July.  Tickets must be booked in advance to help us control visitor numbers and ensure your visit is safe and enjoyable for all your family.

Exploration and play mixes with learning as children explore the rural landscape of Upper Nidderdale and discover its secrets.  The trail features areas of wide open space for young sprites to burn off energy and a variety of play locations, as well as wildlife observation points, where young minds can learn to watch quietly.

Our picnic area and adventure playground has beautiful views across the Valley, and John Deer play tractors.

A Magical Experience

Seek out the delightful and colourful fairies and pixies that make Studfold’s award winning Adventure Trail a magical place whether this is your first visit or you come often.  Feed the imagination as you look for the fairies and their magical homes.   Along the trail you will discover the fairy code to unlock the gate to reveal our giant story telling chair.  Also through the fairy gate you will find Studfold's Fairy Story and explore Studfold's magical wood and fairy village of '2 Stone Wishes'!

Plan Your Visit

Due to popular demand the Fairy and Pixie Adventure Trail now begins in May and is suitable for all primary and pre-school children, their parents, and even their parents’ parents!

Our picnic area is available for you to bring your own picnic, or if you prefer you can pre-order a picnic from us to take with you on the trail with you. Our visitors have loved this idea since we first introduced it -  “very Famous 5!” and indeed it proved very popular.

Refreshments are also available in our new 'Nidderdale Way Cafe'.

We also have our enduring favourite, the Treasure Swap Box, so bring something along to pop in and add some magic to someone else’s adventure!

Experience the Magic for Yourself.

If you have not yet experienced the Studfold Adventure Trail then why not come along this summer - you will discover clues and secret boxes - there is so much to see and do along the way. Unlock the hidden secrets of the Nidderdale Countryside and enjoy a magical and immersive adventure for young minds.
