About

Over 4000 years ago the first Scousers built a stone monument and gathering place. Today we call these megaliths the Calder Stones. Did prehistoric people travel to them to celebrate life, share stories or connect to their community?

Discover the secrets of the Stone Age and our very special stones, at this interactive after-hours event created in collaboration with 18–25-year-olds.

Our bar will be open and food and drink will be available to purchase. Our prehistoric inspired menu will include Stone Age Scouse and Foragers Salad.

This event is for over 18s only. 6-11pm. Last entry 9pm.

To celebrate Heritage Open Days this event is free of charge for anyone to enjoy. At the moment, to keep everyone safe, there are a limited number of spaces available and lots of people would like to book. Therefore we kindly ask that if your plans change and you can no longer join (it happens!), you cancel the booking which will release the space for someone else to enjoy.

New Wave is a project by Heritage Open Days, which is coordinated nationally by the National Trust and supported by players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
