Sunday 31 December | 2023 | 6pm
Royal Concert Hall
Tickets: £21.50 to £38.50
Nottingham's New Year classical spectacular returns for its 26th year. Take a tour of some of the world's most popular orchestral music courtesy of the sensational Sinfonia Viva, the East Midlands' very own professional orchestra.
In one night visit imperial Vienna (Strauss waltzes), Bohemia (Dvořák's Slavonic Dances) and the wilds of Norway (Grieg's In The Hall of the Mountain King). Then journey to Mexico, North Africa and the American West with popular dances, opera arias and showtunes, including music from Oklahoma! Leading Austrian conductor Nicholas Kok has made these New Year festivities his own over more than two decades and joins us again to lead the celebrations.
The concert is timed to fit perfectly into New Year's Eve, however you choose to celebrate. The music starts at 6pm and finishes at 8.15pm, so you can enjoy time with friends afterwards or get home to watch the fireworks. Extravagant, fun and steeped in tradition, join the festivities at Nottingham's favourite New Year's Eve celebration.
