To celebrate The Friends of Platt Fields winning the 'Best Community Orchard 2017-18' we thought it would be nice to invite a few of our storyteller friends into the lessor known Shakespearean garden for an afternoon of food, fiction and fancy dress. Located east of the lake, near the Langley Road entrance to the park. This sunken garden is gradually undergoing long term maintenance and restoration by The Platt Fields Volunteer Sunday Team. Good to know there's already a well established community orchard there too. That's just one of the reasons this amazing group of volunteers won The Orchard Project's prestigious award.

Professor Jigget: Goblin scientist, fairy hunter, explorer and expert storyteller may not have you sat down for long. There's goblin eggs to be found!
Susie Oldfield: She'll regale you with tales of old like you've never heard them before. Bet you didn't know that Thor was picking apples long before he was picking up hammers and that pesky Loki, well, you'll have to come and watch to find out what all the fuss was about.
The Punch & Judy Man: Just good'ol family fun from this one-man band and his giant box of puppets. Watch out for that nasty croc and that man's wife with a serious grudge! "That's the way to do it."
