Sapien Records Ltd will celebrate 10 years of supporting musicians through the music industry with ‘Sapien Fest’, a festival featuring an eclectic mix of regional and national bands involved with the Durham based record label.

The labels ambition is to reach new audiences, enticing music lovers to try something new at Sapien Fest, a milestone festival bringing an eclectic mix of rock, pop, folk, brass and rap artists to the most iconic music institution in the North East.

Artists performing at Sage Gateshead include; DENNIS (Hetton pit-pop folk rock & brass band, Glastonbury Festival performers) feat. the award winning Houghton Area Youth Brass Band, Rider (London pop songstress, feat. on BBC Strictly Come Dancing, Disney movies, radio & TV. Her self-produced hits available across all stream services), Big Lad (London grindcore laptop electronica & live drums duo, Bangface Weekender favourites), Soeur (Bristol grunge-heavy pop trio frequented via BBC Radio 1 Rock Show), Tankengine (Newcastle ex- Yourcodenameis:milo, performing at ArcTanGent Festival 2020), Dunes (Newcastle alt. stoner-rock trio, performing at Desert Rock Festival 2020), Faithful Johannes (Durham barely-rap and minimalist instrumentalist feat. BBC 6 Music}, Scott Michael Cavagan (Newcastle pop rock, debut album feat.
