Looking for something different to do with the kids? Introduce them to roller skating with this weekly roller disco at Queen’s Park Sports Centre.
The roller discos are a high energy combination of roller skating, thumping beats and awesome lighting shows.
Every session has a dedicated beginner’s area where you can safely learn the basics of roller skating from experienced instructors. Once you’ve gained confidence you will be able to join the main section of the rink, where the fun really starts!
In terms of roller skate hire, traditional quad type roller skates and also inline skates are available from junior size 8 up to adult size 12. Sets of pads are also available to hire free of charge in both kids and adult sizes.
Roller Energy are at Queen’s Park Sports Centre every Saturday 6.15pm – 7.30pm. Before visiting, it is advisable to check social media for updates regarding the sessions. Find Roller Energy UK on Facebook.

From North/South Leave M1 at junction 29 and take A617 to Chesterfield (approx 4 miles). At traffic light controlled roundabout select left lane and take 3rd exit. At next roundabout select left lane and take 1st exit (continuous lane). At traffic lights select middle lane and go straight on. At traffic light controlled roundabout (Matalan) select left lane and take 1st exit (Boythorpe Road). Pass Queen’s Park and Sports Centre is on the left 100 yards further on.
From East Follow A617 to junction with M1 motorway and take 3rd exit (A617 singposted Chesterfield), then follow route from North/South.
From West Follow A619 to Chesterfield. At traffic light controlled roundabout (Matalan) select right lane and take 4th exit (Boythorpe Road). Pass Queen’s Park and Sports Centre is on the left 100 yards further on.
Nearest train station Chesterfield, about 1 mile away.
Any bus to Wheatbridge Road (any bus wich goes ot of Chesterfield along the A619 Chatsworth Road).
