A foodies delight, our Farmers Markets showcase a wonderful array of produce that is lovingly made by friendly producers right here in the Chilterns, and where possible within a 40-mile radius of Princes Risborough.
A mixture of fan-favourites and new vendors will pitch at our upcoming market on Saturday 1st April, selling a wide array of local goodies inclusive of gin, honey, teas, sparkling wines, olives, pies, home-produced and locally sourced meats, savoury treats, and sweet treats. Hot takeaway food will also be available, with a delicious line-up of handmade burgers, sourdough toasties, and gluten free pasta and pancakes.
Little ones are bound to be entertained by Basil and Crews Educational Mobile Farm. Basil the Shetland Pony and his crew of fluffy and furry friends will be at King George V Park from 09:00-14:00 helping all ages gain confidence at their own speed, learning how to safely interact with the present farm animals. It will be a lovely opportunity for all to learn more about and feed these gorgeous animals. First Steps Pre-School will also be running a themed crafts stall throughout the event.
The Black Dog Band will be returning! Playing between 10:00-12:00, attendees are invited to sit back and soak up the atmosphere as they play.
In partnership with the North West Chilterns Community Board and Risborough Environmental Group, Princes Risborough Town Council will be distributing free packets of wild flower seeds at the Farmers Market as part of the Bee Squared project. They are free to all and are given so that you can plant your own 1-metre square of native wildflowers in your garden or in pots to help biodiversity in and around our gardens.
Families attending will also be able to collect an entry form for Princes Risborough Town Council's Easter trail which launches on High Street, Princes Risborough, on Saturday 1st April from 10:00.
This event is free of charge to attend and will be held at King George V Park on Wellington Avenue in Princes Risborough. Starting bright and early at 09:00, the event will span for five hours, finishing at 14:00.
A friendly reminder that there is no parking at the outdoor venue. We encourage attendees, where possible, to utilise public transport or walk, cycle, or scoot the event. If driving is necessary, there are two Buckinghamshire Council owned car parks within walking distance - the Mount and Horns Lane Car Parks. Charges apply at both of these Car Parks, please check the signage for more information.
