Platinum Jubilee: Arts Beacon at Southwell Minster

The Workhouse and Infirmary, along with Southwell Tourism Partnership, have come together to create a unique immersive projection experience at Southwell Minster to celebrate The Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

The project is a joint effort by local organisations including The National Trust's Workhouse and Infirmary, Southwell Minster, and Southwell Town Council. The projection artwork is designed by Guildhall Live Events who are renowned nationwide for their production of immersive digital experiences.

A projection featuring inspiration from Southwell's past and present community will light up the west front of Southwell Minster via a bespoke arts beacon at 9.45pm.

There will be live acoustic music on the night and a special welcome by The Very Revd Nicola Sullivan, Dean of Southwell.

The tower will light up as beacons across the nation are also lit to celebrate the jubilee milestone.

Bring a picnic and blanket/chairs and enjoy this unique event. Come along from 9.15pm so you can get comfortable.

This event takes place at Southwell Minster. Parking is available nearby opposite the Minster and parking is free. Please gather in the Minster grounds. This event is very accessible to those with mobility challenges.
