An alternative goth/punk pop-up buy, sell and swap Flea Market is coming to The Shack Manchester – presented by NQ Alternative and featuring lots of local traders. It takes place on Sunday 13 October and is a HALLOWEEN/SAMHAIN SPECIAL with entry just £1. (11am-5.30pm)

 Just think of a second hand jumble sale where people can clear out their wardrobe space, swap or make some extra cash or a place where traders can sell hand-made clothing, crafts, hair pieces, cosmetics and jewellery! This is a perfect place to pick up some great items and bargains just in time for all hallows eve.  There is a great bar, great tunes, great people and great atmosphere!

Here local artists can showcase and sell their art, and guests can enjoy food at the bar, buy vegan/vegetarian/gluten free cake and home-made ethical plastic free cosmetics are available too. Plus there is the opportunity to rummage through a ton of new handmade and second hand goth and punk gold without resorting to Depop, Ebay or any other online auction websites.

The market will be located through the side entrance on High St (not through the restaurant) with some stairs leading down into the basement of The Shack Manchester. The bustling bar will have a selection of draft/IPA session beers and a fantastic drink and food selection. NQ Alternative is an organisation that specialises in running bi-monthly events supporting local artists, craft makers and the alternative/punk/goth community in the heart of Manchester’s Northern Quarter. Hailed as something of a cry back ‘to the way the Northern Quarter used to be’. They always believe in supporting local artists and believe that buying second-hand/hand-made clothing is very important for a variety of ethical reasons. And what a time to bring it back up North!
