Lego Before Lego

Did you know the Lego company was founded in 1932 manufacturing wooden toys? No? Then come to Brighton Toy and Model Museum for our exciting new exhibition, 'Lego before Lego - a secret history', to see some of Lego's original wooden toys of the 1930s-40s to the popular plastic toys of the 60s, when the iconic bricks became an essential part of modern childhood.

The Hatley Lego Collection includes original toy shop signage, scale vehicles, building blocks, farm vehicles, lovable characters and pull-along toys.

This is a rare opportunity to see some of Lego's early creations outside of Denmark! We're open Tuesday to Saturday so just turn up any time, buy your ticket at the foyer and enjoy this and the many other exhibits we have for you to see.
