Kwiek Korfball Club is another of the country's leading korfball teams.
Korfball is a fast, dynamic sport. Two teams of mixed sex opponents compete against each other to score goals in a basket at opposing ends of the court.
Players cannot run with the ball, contact each other or dribble the ball. They must get free from their personal defender in order to shoot the ball because their defender is actively trying to defend their shot.
Kwiek have competed at the highest senior and junior level in England, providing players for the National and County teams and have an enviable reputation of winning at least one competition per year since their formation in 1976.
The club have qualified and experienced coaches for all standards of play from new starters to national level.
The seniors train at Woodlands School, Gilingham, and the juniors at Strood Sports Centre.
Seniors: Tuesday 8pm-10pm.
National Leauge: Wednesday 8pm-10pm.
Juniors: Saturday 2pm-3.30pm.
Non-members are welcome to come along to the senior training session on Tuesday and the junior training session on the Saturday. First session is free.
