Organised by Jack Up Events with the support of Ryde Town Council, Ticket to Ryde has become a Bank Holiday highlight, now in its 10th year! In 2024, the event will be staged over both the Late May (Spring) Bank Holiday and the August Bank Holiday weekend.
Situated along the seafront just a stone’s throw from Ryde’s golden sand beaches, this free-to-attend mini-festival provides a rich mix of bank holiday entertainment for both Island residents and visitors to the Island’s shores.
Feel-good live music will be provided by the very best local bands and solo singers, with an opportunity for upcoming new talent to take to the stage. Over the years Ticket to Ryde has become a major platform to showcase the very best of the Island’s musical talent, and despite its name, there’s no need to buy a ticket!
The event is staged for the community to support Island charities and traders. This year Jack Up’s Charity of the Year is the Motor Neurone Disease Association Isle of Wight (MNDA).
There will be a real ale bar courtesy of Island Ales and a range of mouth-watering hot food freshly cooked by Island caterers, all made using locally sourced ingredients. There will also be delicious locally-produced shortbread, cheesecakes and churros. Not forgetting hot and cold beverages, all served with a smile!
You can also browse a range of traditional market stalls. Why not pose for a hand-drawn caricature, have your tarot cards read or indulge in a beautifully sculpted henna tattoo? A range of children’s activities will keep the little ones happy whilst the adults relax and enjoy the music.
With a lovely atmosphere and laid-back family-friendly vibe, it’s the perfect way to enjoy a lazy bank holiday weekend!
