Heritage Open Day at Bretby Art Pottery Showroom

About

Come along and see one of Derbyshire's hidden gems. Located in Woodville, the Bretby Art Pottery Showroom building is now the last physical link to the former works and an important part of Swadlincote’s industrial heritage.

Gain access to the Bretby Art Pottery Showroom, a building that is not available for public access at any other time of the year. Meet former employees, see rare and unseen historic photographs of the site and items from the Tooth & Co archive along with examples of the Bretby Art Pottery ware. Find out more about The Heritage Trust, their work and the plans they have for the building.

Though the building is safe it is empty and therefore not connected to mains services. Care will need to be taken when entering the building after many years of neglect it is little dirty and the floors are uneven. Please wear strong footwear and suitable clothing.

Max 8 people per tour/session. No parking is available at the site there is, however, parking on the road and at some nearby establishments.
