Explorer School

This half term discover the skills needed to be a true adventurer. Led by the museum’s resident performing arts students, this fun interactive session is perfect for little explorers.

Upstairs in the museum you can also find out about real-life local explorers and the discoveries they made on their world travels.

Hands on History with Tees Archaeology

Meet a real history detective and have a go at a range of activities including helping archaeologists rebuild objects, create your own rune stone name and handle real artefacts.

Make your own Bird Box

Give the birds in your garden a little helping hand this winter by building them a nestbox. Park Rangers will be on hand to help you and your family create a wooden nestbox this February Half Term. All the tools and materials will be provided.

Get Crafty!

Head over to the museum and make something special to take home. Activities will be inspired by the Tees Valley’s greatest explorers and the exhibition To Boldly Go which you can see upstairs in the Exhibition Gallery.
