About

Join The Glossop Festival Orchestra for a magical baroque concert by candlelight. The stunning violinist Sophie Rosa returns for what promises to be a spectacular performance of Vivaldi's The Four Seasons and the incredible principle oboe of the BBC Philharmonic, Jennifer Galloway, will be soloist in the beautiful adagio from Bach's Easter Oratorio.

Trumpeter Anthony Thompson tackles the virtuosic brilliance of Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 2, described as a trumpeter's 'Mount Everest'. The concert begins with Purcell's Rondeau from 'Abdelazer', best known as the main theme to Britten's The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra.
