Tying in with International Mother Language Day this month, we have a special guest from Ireland!
The Consulate General of Ireland has kindly arranged for Pat the Hat to join us at the beginning of the film club as a special storytelling treat. Pat is a Seanchaí (traditional Irish storyteller) and his tales will make you laugh, make you cry, scare you and cheer you. Pat has stories about Animals and Birds, Kings and Warriors, Saints and Sinners, Witches and Magicians, Pickpockets and Ghosts, Fairies and Mermaids, and Mythical, Mystical characters that inspire and captivate the imagination. Stories in English with a little Gaeilge thrown in! Just come along to enjoy the scéalta (stories).
The Irish themed film will follow the storytime, plus themed crafts. The club is free to join and we may even have popcorn! Bring the family for a free afternoon of fun. Suitable for children up 12 years. To book your place email angela.rawcliffe@manchester.gov.uk
