Christmas is coming to Eastwood with the Christmas Lights Switch On!
Don't miss out on the start of the Christmas period in Eastwood on Tuesday 29th November with the Eastwood Christmas lights Switch On, taking place along Nottingham Road and Victoria Street from 6pm until 8pm!
On the night you can enjoy our annual Festive Fairground at Iceland Car Park, as well as the Christmas Market and joyful Carol Singing on Victoria Street. Make sure you also head over to the nearby D.H. Lawrence Museum's Secret Garden with the kids to visit Santa's Grotto between 5.30-8pm!
Back by popular demand are Spark! These talented drummers create a magical live theatre experience via live music and beautiful coloured lights, for more information visit worldbeatersmusic.com/!
Additional stage acts and theatre and a beautiful acoustic duo from Eastwood Churches Together will also entertain on the evening!
The Mayor of Broxtowe, the Town Mayor and Deputy Town Mayor will lead the official countdown for the light switch on at 7pm at the main stage by Eastwood Library. Eastwood Town Centre are having a new Christmas Lights throughout the town this year so expect some exciting new additions! Shortly afterwards at 8pm there will be a firework display which will see the event draw to a close.
In the run up to the event Eastwood Town Council will be running a Best Dressed Christmas Window Competition and the winner will be announced at the event, so get your entries in for the chance to win!
