Easter Nature Trail

About

Spot the wildlife along the trail to claim an Easter treat on completion.

Spring has sprung (hurrah!) and the sanctuary's wildlife is waking from its slumber, so follow the Easter Nature Trail around the sanctuary to discover what animals (besides donkeys) you could find living in the various habitats located across their land. Along the way, learn how encouraging biodiversity and maintaining these habitats and natural ecosystems, helps contribute to the health and wellbeing of the donkeys.

Simply find the habitats located around the sanctuary to reveal which animal lives there and use the stickers provided to match the animal with the habitat listed on the trail sheet. Once you have spotted them all, head to The Shed to claim your prizes.

This entertaining Easter activity combines family fun, exercise and brainpower and is just £5 per trail, including an Easter egg on completion and a biodegradable bag of seeds to help you create your own wildflower meadow at home. Good practice, good for the environment, good for you.

Plus with daily talks, scenic walks, engaging exhibits, award-winning gardens and, of course, hundreds of adorable donkeys to meet, there's so much to explore with your own herd, whatever the weather. Friendly dogs on leads are welcome too!

Take sanctuary in the Taste of the West award-winning restaurant, The Kitchen, and enjoy fresh, local, seasonal produce while soaking in the unparalleled coast and country views. Breakfast, lunch, coffee and cake are served daily, with every penny of profit helping donkeys and mules around the world.

Before heading home, browse the Gift Shop at leisure in the knowledge that every purchase goes towards helping donkeys in need. Packed with unique donkey-design items and souvenirs, you will find something for everyone.

From humble beginnings as a UK rescue mission 50 years ago, The Donkey Sanctuary has grown into one of the world's largest equine welfare charities.

General admission and parking at the sanctuary are FREE (donations welcome). Dogs on leads are welcome.

All proceeds help fund the work of The Donkey Sanctuary Worldwide.
