Easter Cake Baking Workshop for 11-15yrs

Let's Bake! The children will learn how to bake their own Easter loaf cake & choose a secret centre, (which we can't show you or it won't be a surprise)! :-)
They will then decorate with Easter treats ready to take home & surprise the family! This workshop will mainly focus on baking with a little decorating at the end. Includes refreshments & an Easter snack.
These workshops are designed for children & will be suitable for all ages & abilities.
We have lots of fun but also teach basic skills, safety & hygiene & ways to get the best results with the tools that are available. And as I only have groups of 6 at a time I can encourage & advise them to their level of ability so they will come away feeling really proud of what they've accomplished at their own level.
Everything is included in the workshop.
In this workshop the children will learn..
*How to make a sponge cake uising my recipe
*Use cutters to cut out sponge shapes
*How to add a different sponge shape inside a cake
*Baking tips
*Health & safety in the kitchen
*Design & make their own cake decorations using chocolate
* We will talk about the ingredients & recipes which they will have copies of to take home.
These are held in my working kitchen at home in Bovey where we can bake & chill cakes & access all of my equipment.
In my Cake Club workshops they will learn new skills & some health & safety, plus we have snack breaks with fun games & always something yummy to take home to share!
