Enjoy the school holidays at Chatsworth for a family fun day out in the garden, farmyard and playground. In addition to our daily activities in the garden and farmyard, we have lots on offer throughout the school holidays.
Activities are daily, 30 March to 28 April, unless otherwise noted. Selected activities are included with admission.

Make a pine cone chick or bird feeder and learn about British birds in the Stickyard.

Meet us in the farmyard for the chance to explore the landscape plus learn a little bit more about the area with commentary suitable for all ages.
Easter egg hunts
19-22 April | Free timed tickets | 11.30am, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm*
Join the hunt for hidden chocolate mini eggs – maybe you'll find a golden egg to swap for a bigger one!
Easter egg hunt tickets are included with your admission to the farmyard and playground. Timed tickets are on a first-come, first-served basis and given out when you arrive at the entrance to the farmyard and playground.
Due to wet and muddy ground conditions in the farmyard fields we strongly recommend you wear sturdy footwear for the Easter egg hunts.
*Please note that the Easter egg hunts are subject to change if the weather and ground conditions are unsuitable.
Easter Eggspress
19-22 April | £3 per person (under threes on knees ride for free)
All aboard the Easter Eggspress! Will you see the Easter bunny? Keep a look out for our furry friend, who may suddenly make an appearance and surprise you.
These tractor trailer rides are first come, first served.
Selected activities are included with admission.
From North/South Leave M1 at Junction 29 and take A617 to Chesterfield (approx 4 miles). At traffic light controlled roundabout select left lane and take 3rd exit. Keep in left lane and, at next roundabout, take 1st exit (continuous lane, signposted Chatsworth). At traffic lights, select middle lane and to straight on, keep in left land and at roundabout (Matalan), take 2nd exit (A619, signposted Chatsworth). Continue for 8 miles through the village of Baslow. Pass Cavendish Hotel on left, at roundabout, take 1st exit signed Chatsworth. Follow road for approx 1½ miles to Chatsworth Estate. Cross cattle grid and take next left to the House.
From East Follow A617 to junction with M1 and follow route from North/South
From West From Bakewell, take A6 (signposted Matlock) to village of Rowsley. Take 1st left after Peacock Inn (signposted Chatsworth). Follow road to traffic light controlled bridge. Continue on same road through Chatsworth Estate and take next right to the House.
The nearest train station is in Chesterfield, 10 miles away.
Bus number 170 from Chesterfield town centre to Baslow followed by 1¼ mile walk
