Dorset Architectural Heritage Week

About

Dorset Architectural Heritage Week is a week-long celebration of the architecture of Dorset, both historic and contemporary.

All the events within the programme are completely free of charge to visitors.

We are thrilled to have ‘old’ regulars back and are also delighted to have brand new events join us in this wonderful celebration of architecture in Dorset.

We are incredibly grateful for all the volunteer hosts who have come forward to participate in this much-loved event which we hope will once again be a great success and help put Dorset back in its rightful place on the Heritage Open Days events map.

Some are specially arranged events, while others offer free entry to a property that normally charges.

Our beautiful county is home to some of the most stunning examples of architecture through the ages – from historic Castles to family homes, cemetery chapels, theatres, churches, historic mills and much more…

We hope you will find the week both interesting and enjoyable and that the events you choose to visit will inspire you to further seek out what Dorset has to offer.

Dorset Architectural Heritage Week booklets are available from Tourist Information Centres and Libraries.

All bookable events can be booked via Eventbrite and all other events you can just turn up at the times and dates listed.
