Classic Rhythm is a unique and exciting trio for flute, piano and percussion that has met with astonishing success, playing to sell-out audiences all over the UK, from regional festivals to major venues including London’s South Bank, as well featuring on Classic FM and on BBC2. Their skilful arrangements of well-known classical favourites rub shoulders with a wonderful variety of other pieces, from original compositions to light and jazz arrangements. Audiences are no less enthralled too by the array of instruments on stage – from marimba to tam-tam, from piccolo to cabasa. With the group's embracing informality on stage, Classic Rhythm ensure a sparkling evening’s entertainment for all the family!
*A donation will be made to The Filo Project (CIC) for every audience member
(for Adults, £16; for under-12s, £12).
The Filo Project provides high quality, small group day care for individuals with early to moderate dementia who are socially isolated. The service is situated in the home of 'hosts' and is more intimate in nature than other traditionally used models. A day with The Filo Project is akin to spending a day with friends, everyone can hear and engage with the others. Clients’ capacities and capabilities are focussed upon, not their incapacities.
