The City of Lichfield Concert Band and Lichfield Gospel Choir team up for this unforgettable evening of music at Lichfield Cathedral.

City of Lichfield Concert Band
The City of Lichfield Concert Band, Lichfield's wind band, was founded over 100 years ago and continues to entertain with a variety of genres such as pop, swing and classical, all performed by its 50-member strong ensemble of local musicians. In 2016, the band performed at the National Concert Band Festival, achieving a Platinum award and going on to perform at the finals held at the Royal Northern College of Music.

Lichfield Gospel Choir
Lichfield Gospel Choir is a vibrant and joyful community choir with over 100 members. Under the musical direction of Themba Mvula, they perform a repertoire that embraces African, gospel and soulful music - both traditional and modern – creating a unique, heart-warming and moving musical experience to engage and uplift any audience.
The concert is in support of Lichfield Cathedral, a Grade I listed landmark which currently costs £5,000 a day to remain open and free for the city.
