Deep within Gough’s Cave a magical transformation is taking place.
Father Christmas' elves have been busy setting up their secret workshop to help manage the huge quantity of letters from all the children. They're making sure that there are enough presents as the North Pole is very busy this time of year and needs a little extra help.
Father Christmas will be stopping off to ensure everything is running smoothly and is inviting you behind the scenes to marvel at the amazing magic taking place on selected dates from 11th November – 24th December 2023.
The elves will be busy in the workshop checking destinations, sorting letters, making toys and inspecting the famous sleigh to test everything is ready before the great man sets off on Christmas Eve.
Anyone with a Cheddar Gorge & Caves Day Ticket can explore Father Christmas' South West Workshop in Gough’s Cave.
For those families visiting with children, as well as The South West Workshop, you can pre-book a separate ticket for a Father Christmas Grotto session on selected dates. (Extra charges apply). As part of the fun, you’ll meet Father Christmas and the elves, have a merry old time singing along to festive songs, listen to a special Christmas tale and receive a token gift, all within the stunning Gough’s Cave.
This is a unique experience you don’t want to miss.
Your Day Ticket also gives you entry to six exciting attractions. Explore the stunning Gough’s Cave, watch the story of early man unfold in the Dreamhunters multimedia experience in Cox’s Cave, enjoy Beyond the View our 270-degree cinema experience, spend time in the Museum of Pre-History learning about how our ancestors lived and survived and venture up the 274 steps of Jacob’s Ladder to The Lookout Tower and the Cliff-Top Walk.
