About

Beaulieu is getting ready to reopen its doors for a festive family day out this Christmas. From Saturday 12th December through to 3rd January, there will be seasonal delights for all the family to see and do, together.

Visit on 12-13 December and 19 December to 3rd January* to celebrate the festive season in style as Christmas is brought to life across the Beaulieu attraction with Christmas trees, seasonal decorations and crackling log fires. Those that are lucky may even catch a glimpse of Father Christmas himself. Beaulieu is ready to help visitors make some unforgettable memories this winter.

For traditional Christmas cheer, head to Palace House, the historic home of the Montagu family, and step back in time to 1889 to experience the wonder of a traditionally decorated Victorian country house. Discover seasonal decorations and beautiful Christmas trees throughout the house, talk to servants about the preparations taking place, then warm away the winter blues next to roaring log fires.

Little ones will love Little Beaulieu, a wonderful play area that is the perfect place for younger visitors to burn off steam during the festive season. Accessible in all weathers, it is the ideal time to explore this new addition, with a special Christmas feel over the holidays. While kids wear themselves out, parents can enjoy a cup of hot chocolate or even a mince pie in the family-friendly outdoor seating area.

For those that truly believe, you may even catch a glimpse of Father Christmas. Rumour has it that he is out and about in the Beaulieu grounds, driving a vehicle from the National Motor Museum’s collection – make sure to wave to him as he drives past.**

Make the National Motor Museum your next stop as a Yuletide activity trail leads you past the new fun-filled exhibition Motoring in Miniature – the Toys of Your Childhood. Visitors of all ages will love displays packed with more than 800 toy cars and pedal cars from the 1920s to the 1990s, as these much-loved playthings of the past bring small-scale motoring memories to life.

All these Christmas activities are included in your general admission ticket to Beaulieu, which also includes entry to Little Beaulieu, the National Motor Museum, On Screen CarsWorld of Top Gear, the ancestral Montagu home Palace House, Secret Army exhibition, Beaulieu Abbey and its grounds and gardens.

If you are struggling to find that perfect Christmas present for your friends or family, why not treat them to a memorable day out at Beaulieu with a gift voucher. Gift voucher tickets are available to purchase in pairs or for a family and cover admission to all that Beaulieu has to offer. If you are after something a little more personal, why not visit the Beaulieu gift shop that will give you some Christmas gift inspiration. From model cars and motoring mugs to stunning jewellery, scarves and festive fare, the Beaulieu gift shop has plenty of goodies to tempt and inspire you.

For a Christmas experience with a difference, Beaulieu will also be hosting a festive performance of A Christmas Carol in the Cloister of Beaulieu Abbey, by London Touring Players. Bah humbug! On selected dates from 18 December to 3 January, enjoy a Covid-safe outdoor promenade performance of Charles Dickens’ classic tale in this atmospheric setting. Separate performance tickets will be available to purchase at www.beaulieu.co.uk.

Advance tickets for the Christmas period are now on sale. Visitor numbers are still limited each day to ensure that spaces never become crowded. It is advised that you pre-book your tickets online ahead of your visit at www.beaulieu.co.uk. Beaulieu is proud to hold Visit Britain’s ‘We’re Good to Go’ industry standard, with Covid-19 safety measures as part of our visitor safety promise meaning that all visitors can safely enjoy their day out.

* Please note, the Beaulieu attraction will be closed on Christmas Day.

** Appearances of Father Christmas are subject to weather conditions and unfortunately, due to safety precautions, he cannot offer personal meet-and-greets.
