Cosmopolitan Arts presents - Leicester’s Chinese and Lunar New Year Celebrations welcoming the Year of the Tiger.
The celebrations feature a range of exciting free events across the city including traditional performances, cultural art activities and a vibrant procession leading to a dazzling performance with fireworks, pyrotechnics, music and lion dance.
Saturday 5 February
11am - 4pm
Leicester Museum and Art Gallery
Enjoy performances from the amazing and extremely talented group Euphoria, storytelling and shadow puppet performances, workshops from nationally renowned Ling Peng, live music from The Chinese Whisperers plus performances and more!
Sunday 6 February
2.30pm - 5.20pm
Leicester City Centre
Enjoy a traditional procession from De Montfort University The Gateway, through Castle Gardens to Jubilee Square and around the city centre, ending in Green Dragon Square. At 5pm in Green Dragon Square there will be a dazzling spectacular finale show including: Lion dance, live DJ from China, pyrotechnics, dance and fireworks.
