Chesterfield Borough Council is again working with Chesterfield Football Club to deliver the family friendly fireworks event in Stand Road Park.
1866 Sport, Chesterfield Football Club’s in-house radio station, will deliver the entertainment at this year’s event with Becky Measures hosting on the night. Confirmed acts include the return of the Disney Princesses singing popular Abba hits. The fireworks theme will be decades, with the display set to popular sing-along songs from the 60s through to present day.
This is a family friendly event, alcohol, fireworks and sparklers are prohibited items and will be confiscated if found.

No advance booking. Entrance fee collected on the gate. Visitors are asked to have the exact money ready as change cannot be given.
From North/South leave M1 motorway at junction 29 and follow A617 to Chesterfield (approx 4 miles). At roundabout select right hand lane and take 4th exit (A61) towards Sheffield. At next roundabout (traffic light controlled, Tesco) select left hand lane and take 1st exit. At next roundabout take 2nd exit (Peveril Road). Follow road for approx ½ mile and Recreation Ground on right at junction with Park Road.
From East follow A617 to M1 motorway junction, then follow route from North/South.
From West follow A619 to Chesterfield. At traffic light controlled roundabout (Matalan) select middle lane and take 3rd exit. Keep in left lane and, at traffic lights, go straight on. At roundabout select middle lane and take 2nd exit (A632). Turn immediately left into slip road to A61. At next roundabout (traffic light controlled, Tesco) select left hand lane and take 1st exit. At next roundabout take 2nd exit (Peveril Road). Follow road for approx ½ mile and Recreation Ground on right at junction with Park Road.
There is a bus stop on Sheffield Road which is less than a two-minute walk away from the park, find more details about bus services that stop here on the Stagecoach website.
