Discover the signs of spring at Clumber Park this Easter. Make your way along the Easter egg trail, finding nature-inspired activities for the whole family, join in on a Teddy's Bear's picnic or make your own crafts, there are activities galore!

2nd & 3rd April: Teddy Bear’s Picnic

Picnic on the Parsonage Lawn; bring your own Teddy. Storytelling sessions running between 11:00 – 15:00, lawn games, board games etc.

2nd & 3rd April: The Mystery of the Lost Egg

Detective Sherbet Holmes is visiting Clumber Park and has discovered that his precious golden egg has gone missing in the grounds! Visitors will join Sherbet as he searches Clumber Park, looking for suspects, and help him solve the mystery of where his egg has gone. They will receive their own detective badge, and when they’ve cracked the case, a certificate and wooden NT badge. They can also pose for a photo with Sherbet. The event is £3 per child and normal admission applies to the Park. Book online via Clumber Park's website. Starts at the Discovery Centre at 10.15, 11.15, 13.15, 14.15 & 15.15 s and runs for approx. 45 mins.

 

2nd – 24th April: Spring Sports and Games

Games and sports equipment out on the front field for visitors to get active in nature, between 10.30 & 15.00 each day.

4th, 11th, 18th & 25th April: Sensory Nature Club (Every Monday)

Our new sensory nature club starting from the Discovery Centre, which focuses on making nature more accessible for all. 11:00 – 12:00 from the Oak Room.

5th April: Garden’s Talk

At 11:30 and 13:30, visitors will be offered a seasonal garden walk and talk around the garden, starting at the Cedar Avenue entrance.

9th – 18th April: Easter egg hunts at Clumber Park

We have joined the National Trail for another holiday! Running from 10:30 - 15:30 (last trail sold at 15:00), visitors are engaging with the theme of ‘ready, set, spring!’, with 10 trail points all focused around spring at Clumber Park. There are plenty of activities on the way, a couple of social media-ready photo ops, and it all finishes with visitors making their pledge for nature on our Laundry Yard Washing Line and picking up an egg from the Discovery Centre.

9th April: Make your own guitar

Visitors can make their own guitar out of recycled materials in the Discovery Centre, on the mezzanine, 10:30 – 15:30.

9th April: Picnic in the Park

Ben Haynes will be performing a two hour set for picnicking people on the Parsonage Lawn. There are VIP picnics available: for £30 visitors can hire a blanket and basket which will contain food from our F&B team. Picnic baskets will contain: two adult sandwiches, two children’s sandwiches, two scones with butter, two cookies, two bottles of water and two Luscombe’s lemonades, with variation on dietary requirements (information collected upon booking). 12:00 – 15:00.

10th April: James Brunt’s Wild Art Workshop

South Yorkshire based artist James Brunt will be turning Clumber Park into his own gallery and inviting visitors to join him. He’ll be on hand for tips but is largely about inspiring people to create their own wild art on the Clumber canvas.

11th – 15th & 18th April: Wild Warriors

Have a go Axe Throwing - £3 for 6 throws. Minimum age 10 – instructor will gauge suitability

Have a go Archery - £3 for 6 arrows. Minimum age 5 – instructor will gauge suitability

Cash only due to lack of signal. Both of these activities will be held by the front field where we will also have sports throughout the week.

16th April: Alice in Wonderland

Same Difference theatre group return with their egg-citing performance of Alice in Wonderland on the Parsonage Lawn. With two, 1 hour, shows at 11:00 and 14:00, families are in for a treat. Tickets can be bought on the day but are available in advance online via Book online via Clumber Park's website.

 

16th April: Easter Pebble Painting

Pebble painting is held on the mezzanine in the Discovery Centre between 11:00 – 15:00 and is a free craft.

23rd April: The Battle of St. George and the Dragon

St. George and his dragon will be on the Parsonage lawn, recounting his battles, knighting visitors and enlisting young knights for some jousting in which they can dress up with helmets and shields and a foam lance/sword. We will also have hobby horse racing. St. George will also tell the tales of his feats of bravery and offer photo opportunities. His tales will be told at 10:30, 11:30, 12:30, 13:30, 14:30, 15:30 and in between he will explore the visitor facilities in search of more knights. Visitors can also head to the Discovery Centre to make knight and dragon puppets between 10:30 – 15:30 on this day.
