Cabaret Boom Boom returns to Wirksworth

Sheffield-based Cabaret Boom Boom are bringing their madcap, hilarious and jaw-dropping live show to Wirksworth on Saturday 9th November. Boom Boom have been entertaining sell-out venues in Sheffield for over 10 years. Every so often they take one of their shows out of the city, and Wirksworth has become a popular and regular destination.

Boom Boom compere Mr Maynard Flipflap said "We love the Wirksworth audience. They're up for a good laugh and ready to be astounded by - almost - death-defying circus skills, which makes the journey from Sheffield worthwhile."

November's show, in the grand setting of Wirksworth Town Hall, is headlined by Mandy Muden, one of the UK's leading comedy illusionists and finalist of Britain's Got Talent 2018. She is described as like 'Alison Steadman playing a beauty consultant doing Tommy Cooper-style magic – but without the fez.' Mandy was a huge hit the lst time she played Boom Boom in Sheffield. She is joined on stage by Scott Doonican, the frontman of Barnsley's favourite comedy band, The Bar-Steward Sons of Val Doonican, and Derbyshire's irreverent, anarchist accordionist Hattie Hatstar. The evening is compered by the Boom Boom residents Messers Flipflap, Lodge and Herbert, then rounded off by Dr Bevan's Disco Dispensary.
