About

BOO at the Zoo
BOO at the Zoo is back, and scarier than ever!

This Halloween, Dartmoor Zoo is opening its gates after dark to invite you on a spooktacular trail through the Zoo!

Taking place on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th October between 5.30pm – 9pm, don't miss out on a FRIGHTfully good evening, offering screams of laughter as you won't know what's lurking around the corner.

Listen out for a rustling amongst the trees and peeping eyes as you make your way through the park, meeting lots of different characters along the way.

This event is suitable for the whole family however does come with adult adversaries. You can expect to see:

Lights Trail – The trial will take you around the Zoo, through the forest, around the big cats, birds and more. If you look carefully, you may be able to see the bright eyes of the animal residents out at night. Expect monsters to be lurking in the shadows. Torches are advised.

Woodland Spook Maze – Find yourself lost in a labyrinth. But be careful, you never know what kind of monsters lurk in the shadows. Warning: This is not for the faint-hearted. Expect monsters, unusual sounds, and movements.

Dark Maze – In a room where you can't see anything, can you feel your way out? Use all your senses to find your direction, but be careful, not everything is your friend in the dark room.

Fern Hanging Garden – Explore our Fern garden if you dare. Some choose to hang out in the misty shadows.

Creepy Reptile House – Meet our wonderful residents in our Reptile and Bug House. All guests will have access to the room from 5.45pm-8pm. Meet the experts of all the wonderful creepy crawlies and learn all about them. This is a great experience for young children.
