A welcome return of one of the best pianists to play in Sheffield in recent years. Barry Green’s 2017 gig at the Crucible Studio was a particular success. He has played in jazz clubs and festivals across the UK and internationally for the last twenty years, touring and recording with artists such as Ian Shaw, Charles MacPherson, Drew Gress, Tom Rainey, Chris Cheek, Gerald Cleaver and Bobby Wellins. Two more albums recorded in New York are planned for 2020. This trio gig explores some new original compositions that will feature in this recording.
