These days National Trust's Greenway, on the beautiful banks of the River Dart, largely attracts visitors thanks to the name of Agatha Christie, her 'ideal, dream house' purchased in 1938. She, together with her second husband Max Mallowan, fully appreciated the status and true heritage of what she was purchasing; a time line of English history stretching back to the Tudor era played out in one of the country's most beautiful settings. Local Historial John Risdon's talk, aptly taking place on Agatha Christie's birth date, illuminates this unique story of England and its part played on the World's stage.
'An Audience at the Palace' event; monthly talks with interesting folk on fabulous subjects.
Tickets include a cup of tea/coffee.
