Join us as for a screening of this special community play performed last year, written by Andrew Rattenbury. Many local societies participated - Lyme School of Ballet Lyme Regis Panto Society, The Marine Players, B Sharp, Lyme Regis Musical Theatre and Saxminster.

We’re screening a play of a recording of the community play that looked back at our rich history as seen through the eyes of six young lovers on our 125th anniversary year in 2019.

We celebrated the life of our little theatre by the sea, charting the vibrant history of the venue and of Lyme Regis itself! With 100 local cast and crew is was a fun-filled cavalcade of music, dance, laughter and tears. There was something for everyone.

ANDREW RATTENBURY

Born in Lyme, Andrew Rattenbury is the acclaimed screenwriter and former head boy of Woodroffe School!

Andy trained as an actor at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and has worked extensively in theatre, television and film throughout the country, including the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, the Bristol Old Vic, Harrogate, Chester, York, Liverpool, Manchester, Worcester, has toured Sweden, Turkey and the USA and also appeared in the West End and at the National Theatre.Paragraph

He has a long list of successes to his credit, having written for programmes such as Eastenders, Monarch of the Glen, Doc Martin, Peak Practice, Holby City, Teachers and Casualty and having his own ITV series The Golden Hour.
