Following the success of the ‘mini-exhibition’ of portable layouts last July. On Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th February from 10am-5pm the Andeer line will be returning to Pecorama in the Station Gallery for an operating session.
The Andeer line is Swiss HOm modular layout built by Julia and Derek Boswell which depicts a section of the metre gauge Rhätische Bahn and uses innovative lightweight foam baseboards for ease of storage and transport.
Over the weekend take the chance to help operate the layout which employs digital control with a central ‘signal box’ and drive the trains using smart phones and tablets. On request, there will also be practical demonstrations of the foam baseboard construction and the use of the electrostatic grass.
Admission is included within normal Pecorama ticket prices.
